Does this include a tester base?
No. This is loose switches only. If you need something to put them in, the Tester Base listing is an empty base on its own, and the Custom Switch Tester comes assembled with the switches already installed.
What is in the pack?
Twenty switches of your choosing and a combination switch and keycap puller. No base and no keycaps, since the point of this one is the switches.
Can I mix different switches, or do they all have to be the same?
All twenty are picked one at a time, so mix linears, tactiles, clickies, silents and hall effects however you like. You can also take more than one of the same switch, up to four of any single one depending on what I have in stock.
What if I pick fewer than twenty?
You can still check out, and I fill the empty slots with a few of my own recommendations rather than shipping you a short pack. If you would rather choose all twenty yourself, the selector keeps a running count of how many you have left.
Do some switches cost extra?
A few carry a surcharge. The amount shows on the switch in the selector before you pick it, and the total is added to your cart as a separate surcharge line.
What do people use these for?
Filling a tester base they already own, building a switch tester keyboard, or trying a batch of something before committing to enough of them for a full build.
